Secret to finding GOLD NUGGETS!! – Rye Patch, Nevada Metal Detector Training

Rye Patch, NV. is one of the places many people go to find gold. Gerry’s Metal Detectors is one of the top instructors in the field who uses, compares, tests, trains, sells and owns every model of gold detector on the market from the top 5 leading manufactures.
Here is a small group of clients learning their gold detectors. They come from all over the country, but this group is from NV, CA, OR, and ID. Peggy and Brad get to dig the nugget found with a Minelab GPX-5000. We ended up finding approx 6 nuggets with the Pulse Induction detectors and another half dozen with the VLF machines, with the Fisher Gold Bug-2 finding the most.
Hopefully some of the tips shown in this video will help others learn to be Gold Prospectors.

Gerry,. in your opinion do you think a Minelab 705 could do this?

  2. Gerrys Detectors says:

Yes you can dig BIG gold. Watch my other videos of the 1 pound gold MONSTER found with a Minelab GPX metal detector. Good luck.

  3. Mai Hassan says:

i really went to navada and dig up a BIG chunck of gold

  4. Gerrys Detectors says:

Great VLF gold detector for the right conditions and size of gold. Really soft signal response on deep and small gold, when compared to the GB-2, GMT, AT Gold. Has more features than most other machines. Email me direct for more info on the Minelab Eureka Gold or any other gold detector, as I own them all.

  5. utuberine says:

What is your scoop on the Minelab Eureka Gold?

  6. Gerrys Detectors says:

Thanks and be sure to keep your kids in the field having fun with a metal detector.

  7. FKF Treasure-Hunters says:

    Very interesting.

  8. Gerrys Detectors says:

Nothing until it is SOLD. It has not been sold yet. Do you want to purchase it?

  9. Gerrys Detectors says:

There is always a slight chance, but in reality your odds are better on the BlackJack Table. The Prizm runs a low kHz around 7 and most VLF gold detectors run 30+ kHz. Good Luck.

hi, im comming to laughlin nv. would it be a waste of time to bring my whites 950 prizam?i only did the beaches up here in chicago ,is there any chance of finding gold with it? are there areas a tourist can learn to pan forgold? ty romey

  11. Gerrys Detectors says:

Yes you're correct. With GPX series & the numerous timings offered to allow detector to perform at optimum depths & sensitivities for changing soils…& even varying kinds of gold ( yes, different structures of gold can produce a change to the signal & or pattern of sounds). At Rye Patch, NV and most areas I have been successful, including Australia, the majority of the nuggets and sites produce like sounds. As the old saying goes "When in Doubt? Check it out" and you'll never miss a nugget.

Hi dude, nice vid, It's always good to end up with something yellow after a dig like that. I have dug to 10 inches only to find a .22 bullet, so disappointing.. Just wanted to let you know that I have dug a number of nuggets that do not respond normally, ie the rise then fall of the pitch.. I have one actually listed for you to watch, I'd be interested in your thoughts as to why the tone change… My machine is a 5000.. and its not set to give the inverted signal.. Cheers and keep'm coming

  13. Gerrys Detectors says:

GTM is fine detector for smaller gold nuggets & the only better one is Fisher Gold Bug-2. Yes, all gold detectors will easily respond to a coin and small chains. Yes the GMT has Iron ID capabilities. Would I personally use the GMT or GB-2 to hunt for Coins and Relics? No, as there are many other machines for less money that produce better results. When ready to purchase a detector, email gerrys1det@cableone.net & I'll make sure you get the right detector for your needs & investment range.

  14. Gerrys Detectors says:

I do not know of a detector that can respond to micron gold. Yes Northern NV. has many kinds of gold in their hills and mountains. Thanks for the response.

  15. Gerrys Detectors says:

When I get some time to sit back and look over my years of field work and comparisons of different models and brands..and get bored with being in the field with customers, then I might get out the pen and paper for a good book. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  16. Gerrys Detectors says:

    Thanks for viewing.

  17. WORLDWIDE METAL DETECTING says:

im just curious the GMT whites machine is 40khz+ ive had metal detectors and wont detect small gold chains, so im curious dos it have iron discrimination and do u know if it could be used for all purpose so it will find coin's silver and gold jewerly and so on. or is it just for gold prospecting

  18. wotan237 says:
