You guys, I’ve seen some WILD things on the waters of Lake Havasu over the years, but nothing – and I mean NOTHING – prepared me for what Sasquatch Sam attempted last weekend.
This out-of-control Bigfoot decided he was going to challenge a jet ski rider to see who could hit 100 MPH first on Lake Havasu. Yeah, you read that right. A bigfoot. In a supercharged speedboat. Going for triple digits on the water.
The Setup: Chrome Engine Meets Chaos
When Sam rolled up to the lake with his speedboat, I knew we were in for something special. This wasn’t your typical weekend warrior boat – we’re talking about a seriously souped-up machine with a massive chrome supercharged engine that looked like it belonged in a drag racing magazine. The blower, the headers, the whole nine yards gleaming in that perfect Arizona sunshine.
Our gorgeous host Amber was there to introduce the mayhem, and honestly, even she looked a little concerned about what Sam was planning. But you know, Sasquatch Sam – safety gear is for quitters, and caution is just a word in the dictionary.
The Race: From 0 to “OH NO!” Real Quick
What started as a friendly competition quickly turned into the kind of adrenaline-fueled chaos that makes Lake Havasu legendary. Watching Sam tear across the water at 80+ MPH while filming himself with a shaky phone camera is peak entertainment.
But here’s where things get REALLY interesting – at 95 MPH, Sam’s boat hits a wave wrong, and suddenly there’s water where water shouldn’t be. Most people would slow down. Most people would think about their life choices.
Sasquatch Sam? He’s still gunning for that 100 MPH goal.

This is exactly why Lake Havasu City is unlike anywhere else on earth. Where else can you witness a Bigfoot attempt land speed records on water while jet ski riders casually cruise by like it’s just another Tuesday?

The Verdict: 98 MPH of Pure Entertainment
I won’t spoil the ending, but let’s just say Sam’s attempt at 100 MPH provides entertainment value that’s off the charts. The man hit 98 MPH in a supercharged speedboat while filming himself – that’s commitment to content creation right there.
Whether he beats the jet ski or not, one thing’s for sure: Lake Havasu continues to be the place where impossible adventures become unforgettable memories.
