Gold Digging: Rye patch, NV.wmv

1 day dry washing and metal detecting near Rye patch reservoir, NV. Don't recommend copying me because the area is pretty heavily claimed up by various companies and individuals. 10-29-2011. Due to the dry washer being angled too steep and the fast speed we went through material the showing wasn't that great. we may have been able to get about 5 times more than shown at the end had we positioned the tray better and went a little slower.

While on a metal detecting trip to Nevada, I find a Cache of Chinese coins dating from 1600's – 1800's of the Ch'ing Dynasty. The Chinese were hired to mine the gold fields and build railroad lines so more people and supplies could be brought in. They usually lived outside of the main camps and used their own money. Most Chinese coins are not real valuable, but the history behind the people who lost them and the sites they are found is enjoyable to experience.
