The ancient Japanese art of Kabuki premiered last night on a partially submerged stage in the middle of the Bellagio’s 8.5-acre lake Friday night.
The play “Fight with Carp” is a tale of good versus evil and tells of a handsome samurai who falls in love with a beautiful maiden only to discover she is actually a giant carp’s spirit taking the form of a woman to seek revenge against humans for killing her carp lover.
The 30-minute performance featured kabuki actors, digital effects on screens and the Bellagio fountains, traditional Japanese music and more.
The only four remaining shows are Saturday and Sunday night starting at 9:15 p.m. & 11:30 p.m. If you are attending, we recommend you arrive 2-3 hours early to secure a good viewing spot.
