I've heard this before from many sources. If you have fear of doing something, then the only way to get over that fear is to actually do it. I have a fear of heights, yet I have been to many high places. The more I do it, the more I see that fear going away.
In the example below, it talks about having fear of being in pictures or videos. Some people have a fear of speaking in public or in front of a camera while a video is being recorded. “Just Do It”, you'll overcome the fear and you will be glad forever that you did it…

As someone who has many self-image and confidence issues I am speaking to myself when I say this… Your children want YOU to be in photos with them, yes I know… you’re not comfortable in front of the camera, you feel like you don’t look good enough but it matters in the long term. I, myself, have very little pictures with my parents or any images of myself and I feel like my memories are slowly fading with no real or tangible proof of what was really there. If you can remind your children ten, twenty, thirty… years from now of what you were like when you gave them a big squishy hug when they were two or toured an exciting place with them when they were five, DO IT. As someone who can’t get those images back, I can tell you that your presence in photos is priceless. #selfsacrifice
